
HISTORICAL CULTURE TOUR


The Historical Culture Tour in Roatan is designed to immerse visitors in the rich cultural heritage of the island. This tour typically includes visits to significant historical sites, storytelling sessions that highlight local legends, and interactions with local artisans. Participants can expect to learn about the indigenous Paya people’s culture, their traditions, and how these have shaped the current identity of Roatan.
On this journey into the history of Roatan we will begin by visiting places with beautiful landscapes such as the Roatan sign, then we will visit the chocolate factory in the West End, we will visit souvenirs of handmade crafts on the island. We will also visit the rum factory and the sloth bear sanctuary and finally we will travel to the Garifuna community of Punta Gorda; to learn about their culture, dance, crafts and food. To carry out this tour, a minimum of 4 people is required.
